Who we are . . .

We are much more than a building and a location. At the heart of all this is Christ and Christ-Centered people. People who are committed to making a difference one life at a time. People who come to grips with their brokenness, so they can minister to a world filled with brokenness.

Whether you come to a worship service, or one of the classes offered, whether you attend L.I.F.T. Groups or youth groups, special Sunday or Wednesday services, we want you to feel at home and make friends here. The primary reason that First Church exists is for those who are not yet here.

Our Mission is to lead people to become devoted followers of Christ.

Our Vision is that ALL mankind will discover the love of God through a process of connecting, growing and serving.

We accomplish our Vision through six guiding principles from God's Word and our Articles of Corporation:

In Worship: To encourage and assist in individual and collective worship of the one true and great God.

In Missions: To lift up the work of the Church in our community and around the world.

In Ministry: To program for the spiritual and moral encouragement of this community.

In Evangelism: To work for the saving of all mankind and the unity of all God's people.

In Discipleship: Through the teaching and preaching of God's Word as it is set forth in the Word of God.

In Fellowship: To build relationships on God's Word that strengthen the body of believers so they can accomplish God's work.

First Church is affiliated with the Church of God with headquarters in Anderson, Indiana. This affiliation gives us accountability without control. We are part of a movement that is non-denominational. Each church is autonomous. We strive to discover God's direction in each independent context of ministry.
